CARING FOR YOUR HAND-TUFTED RUG
It is normal to see some loose fibers with hand-tufted rugs, especially with new rugs. Shedding should stop with regular care and vacuuming.
VACUUMING
Vacuum your hand-tufted rug at least once a week to get rid of dirt and dust, and as needed for excess fibers
Use low vacuum setting or avoid using brush roll
Avoid vacuuming edges of rug, this may decrease the strength of the binding over time.
STAINS
If rug becomes stained, dab the stain with dry cloth and vacuum the remains
Use cloth and lukewarm water to remove wet stains. Dampen the stain and soak up excess water. Repeat if needed
Avoid using too much water, as it can loosen the secured backing
Avoid scrubbing
GENERAL CARE
Rotate rug from time to time to regulate wear from foot traffic wear and sunlight.
Avoid shaking or beating a hand-tufted rug, as it can damage fibers and loosen the backing, and may lead to quicker deterioration of rug.
A rug pad is recommended for preserving longevity of your hand-tufted rug
